Litchfield Country Club

In 1966, Litchfield Country Club opened on the site of an old rice plantation and is one of the original eight courses along the Grand Strand. Litchfield was awarded 4.5 stars in Golf Digest’s “2008 – Places to Play” and also one of the “Worlds 50 Best – 1996” by Conde Nast Traveler. Litchfield offers challenges to golfers of all levels. The 13th hole is a long par five with a lake along the entire left side and with O.B. along the right; this hole consistently ranks as one of the more difficult at Litchfield. The 18th hole is the signature hole at Litchfield. A precise tee shot must be hit to setup the demanding approach over water. Live oaks and Carolina pines are sprinkled throughout this historic property.
